Descriptions

Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu (BJJ) is a ground-based martial art and combat sport that focuses on grappling, joint locks, and choke holds. Practitioners wear a traditional gi (uniform) and learn to use leverage and technique to control and submit opponents regardless of size or strength.

Classes are structured to be welcoming to complete beginners while still providing challenge and growth for experienced practitioners. A typical class includes a warm-up, a technique drilling segment, and live sparring (rolling). Progress is marked through a belt ranking system: white, blue, purple, brown, and black belt.

Cardio & Fitness classes are designed to build functional athletic capacity — strength, power, endurance, and mobility — using our fully equipped conditioning area. Equipment includes barbells, kettlebells, pull-up rigs, and more.

Sessions are structured around compound movements and conditioning circuits that translate directly to performance on the mats and in everyday life. All fitness levels are welcome and movements are scalable.

Kickboxing classes cover the fundamentals of striking — punches, kicks, knees, and footwork — in a structured and safe environment. Classes are suitable for those interested in fitness, self-defence, or competitive fighting.

You will learn proper technique, combination work on bags and pads, and defensive movement. Partner work and light sparring options are available for those who want to take it further. No prior experience is necessary.

What to bring: Boxing gloves and hand wraps are required. Loaner gloves are available. Shin guards are recommended for sparring.

Open Mat is an unstructured training session where members can drill techniques, roll, and explore Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu at their own pace. There is no formal instruction, making it ideal for reinforcing what you’ve learned in class, trying new ideas, or simply getting rounds in.

Students of all levels are welcome. Beginners can use the time to review fundamentals or get guidance from more experienced teammates, while advanced practitioners can focus on specific positions, situational sparring, or competition preparation.

What to bring: A gi or no-gi attire depending on the session. Mouthguard is recommended.
